2. Remote Start / Stop of FFH
Autoplugin RCP lets you start and stop of fuel-fired heater by remote control. And certainly, you can use driver
information system to program FFH, as you did it before.
3. Variety of Remote Controls
Autoplugin RCP presents set of inputs for easy connection of diverse remotes, like Webasto Telestart (supplied
with Autoplugin WTS Kit), Eberspächer Easy Start, Defa Smart Start
(supplied with Autoplugin DSS Kit), GSM-modules (supplied with
Autoplugin GSM Kit), alarm systems controls, etc.
4. Embedded Start / Stop of FFH by Ford Remote Key
Autoplugin RCP lets you start immediately of fuel-fired heater by original 3-button Ford remote key.
It uses a combination of Lock button presses (4 times by default) to activate this function. A back-up remote is always
with you now.
5. Remote Feedback
You can get information about FFH operation if remote control
can display it.
6. Additional Button to Control FFH and LED Functions
Special button may be
installed on console for one-touch FFH start / stop, boost mode control and easy settings change.
Button's functions:
Heater Start |
Heater Stop |
One-time boost disable |
One-time boost enable |
Boost extension (doesn't let the FFH stop after the engine has been switched off) |
We offer original Ford button
with windscreen or back glass heating logo and built-in LED, as option. It can be silver or dark gray, with red
lighting only.
LED is used to indicate run-time errors of FFH and to confirm the button presses.
7. FFH Start and Work
Using of Direction Indicators
Autoplugin RCP may flash by direction indicators in rear-view mirrors to inform you that the heater has
started and operates. It's adjustable function, which may be switched on and off (as default).
8. Extended Control of Boost Heat Mode
Autoplugin RCP has several adjustable functions to control the boost heat mode of FFH:
Boost heat mode permanently enabled / disabled by Autoplugin RCP |
Boost heat mode disabling by the coolant temperature: Autoplugin RCP doesn't let FFH
run with engine, if its temperature is higher than programmed one. It can be useful to prevent FFH from short
run cycles, which result in clogging of FFH. |
One-time enabling/disabling of the boost heat mode by additional button. This
function is may be useful to short trips, for example. |
Boost Extension. This function is activated by additional button and lets
FFH continue working after the engine has been switched off. It's often useful with short stops in a trip.
9. Main Battery Protection from Discharging
Fuel-fired heater uses energy of car's main battery for operation, not only fuel.
Autoplugin RCP may control battery's voltage to prevent the battery from discharging.
The level can be
adjusted in accordance of battery condition. Also you can limit time of autonomous work of FFH.
10. Errors Reset (Unblocking)
If your heater doesn't burn after start, the ECU of FFH stops the heater and fixes an error
in memory. After 5 unsuccessful starts FFH is being blocked.
If a problem is not related with FFH malfunction
(ex. exhaust system is clogged by snow), it can be enough to reset ECU errors by Autoplugin RCP.

11. Guaranteed Engine and Passenger Compartment Heating
Ford FFH (Eberspächer Hydronic B5WS or D5WS) has no special mode for remote start.
It has 3 modes to run:
Immediate startup (work time of 30 min) |
Programmed startup (work time up to 70 min) |
Boost heat mode (running with engine) |
Autoplugin RCP uses a combination of modes for remote start of FFH to
achieve optimal performance.
12. Control of External Devices
Autoplugin RCP allows you to control
external devices while the heater operates. Functions and examples of their use:
Disconnection of consumers during the heater operation to conserve
battery power (for example, turning off the climate control fan) |
Disable highly sensitive sensors of additional alarm system to
prevent false alarm triggering when the heater operates |
